Application form for entry into Darul Mustafa for Islamic Studies, Tarim, Hadramawt, Yemen.
Welcome dear student. It is now possible for you to begin your journey of seeking authentic Islamic knowledge - with an unbroken chain of narration back to the Prophet (sallallhu alayhi wasallam) as well as attaining the sciences of spiritual purification and bearing the responsibility of calling to Allah – by applying to study at Dar al Mustafa, Tarim, Hadramout, Yemen. Method of Acceptance:
Complete the electronic application form and send it before the deadline set for registration
The acceptance committee will discuss your application and reply
If you are accepted, the acceptance committee will email you informing you of your acceptance and requesting that you confirm that you are prepared to abide by the regulations of the Dar.
An applicant may be requested to provide further information to support his application. The applicant must do so as soon as possible. Failure to do so may lead to the application not being accepted, especially if the deadline has already passed.
After the applicant's undertaking to abide by the regulations of the Dar, he must send 150 USD ONLY to cover the cost of a study visa. The remainder of the study fees will be collected upon arrival and are as follows:
Residence permit fee (for non-Yemeni citizens): 85 USD
Residence permit renewal fee: 45 USD annually.
Meals in Darul Mustafa: 280 USD annually
There are no study fees in the Qur’an Memorisation Faculty, Islamic Studies Faculty and Short Term Studies Faculty
Study fees for the Beginners Arabic Programme: 550 USD for one year of study.
Fees for the Advanced Arabic Programme: 300 USD for 6 months of study
A return travel ticket deposit will be taken from students on arrival and returned at the time of departure. The amount differs according to the student’s country of origin:
Arab countries: 300 USD
East Africa: 500 USD
West and South Africa: 600 USD
South East Asia: 550 USD
Central Asia: 500 USD
China: 700 USD
Europe: 500 USD
North and South America: 700 USD
The application process will only begin after the study visa fee has been received.
Once the visa has been issued the student is required to arrive in Yemen within a period of 30 days (which is the validity period before the study visa expires) and this should be before the beginning of the academic year.
Required documentation to be attached to one's application:
A clear colour scan of your current passport (along with scans of the passports of any family members that will be accompanying you)
A letter of guarantee. One guarantor should complete and send the following form.
The protocols of the Dar do not allow any student to live outside the Dar accommodation unless he is married and his wife is present with him, or if he is living with one or both of his parents (if they need special assistance and care)
• Women who wish to study in Dar al Zahra and will not be living with their husband or parents should not fill in this form. Instead they should contact Dar al-Zahra directly by writing to: firstname.lastname@example.org
